| IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE NOTICE ABOUT THE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE RADIO/WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL DEVICES

WARN ATV, Truck, and Industrial Winch Owners:
It has come to our attention that some customers are inquiring about the compatibility of
using the currently available Radio/Wireless Remote Control Devices with a WARN
Winch.
Here is what you need to know:

WARN ATV Winch Only:
For WARN ATV winches, the only Remote/Wireless system Warn Industries recommends
is the WARN Wireless Control System for powersports winches. This System is designed
specifically for use with a WARN ATV winch.
WARN Truck Winch only:
For WARN Self-Recovery winches, the only Remote/Wireless system Warn Industries
recommends is the WARN Wireless Control System for truck winches. This System is
designed specifically for use with WARN winches. Other currently available Radio/Wireless
Remote Control devices clearly disable the WARN backup (redundant) winch switching
control functions. This is because other Radio/Wireless Remote Control Devices utilize
three (3) control wires while the WARN remote switch utilizes five (5) control wires.
The five (5) control wires are critical to proper function.
WARN Industrial Winch:
For all WARN Industrial winches, WARN does not offer a Remote/Wireless system. Other
currently available Radio/Wireless Remote Control Devices clearly disable the WARN
backup (redundant) winch switching control functions and may lengthen the response
time between the winch control functions of POWER IN and STOP, POWER OUT, and STOP.
These Radio/Wireless Remote Control Devices do not meet the WARN standards for
operator control for any WARN Industrial winch.
For 60 years, WARN has been committed to providing dependable, reliable products
you can trust. WARN strongly recommends (1) that if you want a Wireless Control
for your WARN ATV winch or WARN Truck winch, use only the WARN Wireless Control
System and (2) DO NOT use other currently available Radio/Wireless Remote Control
Devices with any WARN Industrial winch.
