Warn Industries extends its towing lineup with WG9 worm gear winch
Clackamas, OR (12/2/10) - Warn Industries, the leader in industrial winch and hoist products, adds more
choices to its growing line of tow-truck-ready winches with the WARN WG9 worm gear winch. The new winch rounds out
the WARN product line for rollback carriers.
Two models of WARN WG9 Winches
The new family of WARN WG9 9,000-pound capacity worm gear winches includes both standard short drum and long drum
models. Designed for heavy-duty towing and recovery applications, both models accept a range of common hydraulic
motor sizes. Cast-iron and aluminum construction with a durable powder-coated finish makes the WARN WG9 winches
exceptionally durable and corrosion resistant.
A 34:1 gear ratio assures optimal line speed. The positive engagement manual clutch (air option available) is both easy
to use and reliable for the long run.
Tow professionals can choose from a wide line of winches
Whether it's the rugged new WARN worm gear winches or their better known planetary gear train winches, WARN
offers flatbed tow-truck operators freedom of choice. Planetary gear models include the WARN Series 30XL for heavy
tow and trailer applications, and the Series 20XL for wreckers and more severe duty applications. The WARN Series 12
hydraulic winch is a good bet for tow, utility and trailer applications. The WARN line features industry-leading extended
duty cycles and proper cable-to drum ratios. All of the WARN tow-specific winches meet world-wide safety specifications.
