Warn Industries Announces New Mounting System for Trucks and SUVs

Las Vegas, NV (11/4/08) - Warn Industries, the leader in off-road vehicle accessories, is excited to announce a new addition to its mounting system lineup. The all-new, WARN?? Gen II Trans4mer?? mounting system offers an innovative way to mount a WARN winch, lights, and other accessories to a truck or SUV.

Like the original Trans4mer mounting system, the Gen II Trans4mer is made up of numerous modular components. However, the Gen II Trans4mer lets buyers further customize the mounting system to their needs-whether they want a unit with all of the optional components, or a true no-frills way to mount a winch.

Here's how it works: The Gen II Trans4mer mounting system starts out with a Base Kit, which is the foundation of the system. It includes a winch tray and mounting brackets that bolt directly to the vehicle's frame. The Base Kit is the simplest, most straightforward way to mount a WARN winch to a vehicle. The kit also includes an optional Light Mounting Bracket that will accommodate up to four WARN lights instead of a winch. Mid-frame Gen Trans4mer base are available in stainless steel or black; large frame in black only.

Using the Base Kit as a foundation, additional components can be added. These include a Grille Guard for extra protection to the vehicle's grille area; Headlamp Guards to protect the vehicle's lights; a Light Bar that allows users to mount auxiliary lights with a winch; and a Front Receiver for increased recovery options. These parts, which are available in black or stainless steel finishes, can be mixed and matched to create a mounting system exactly the way the buyer wants it.

The Gen II Trans4mer mounting system will be initially available for the 2008-'09 Ford Super Duty and the '09 Ford F-150; other applications will follow.

The WARN Web site (www.warn.com) will also feature a "Build Your Own Trans4mer" application. Here users will be able to configure a truck with the various Gen II Trans4mer mounting system components so they can see exactly what it will look like on the vehicle.
