WARN Works is new brand of winches and hoists for contractors, farm-ag
professionals,
tradesmen and DIY-ers; built to the performance and quality standards
of
Warn Industries' time-tested off-road products
Clackamas, OR (July 16, 2003) Whether you're a professional
or do-it-yourselfer, your job is about to get a whole lot easier. Starting
this summer, Warn Industries will kick its new WARN Works program into
high gear, bringing a full line of specially-designed winches, hoists
and accessories to home center shelves and product supply catalogs.
Developed for builders, landscapers, farmers, tradesmen
and consumers, Warn Works is a new family of tools-with which "To Pull,
Haul, Drag or Lift Just About Anything Anywhere". Based on the knowledge
and expertise gained from 50 years of building vehicle-mounted winches,
Warn Works continues the company's commitment to innovation and quality,
and to giving consumers exactly what they want.
"Warn Works was created because there are pros and weekend
warriors who need more powerful tools to do their jobs or tackle projects,"
said David Burns, general manager of Warn Works. "Our goal is to provide
winches and hoists to make the kinds of tasks these users take on a lot
easier to accomplish. Warn Works products are not truck or off road products.
But, we're building them to those same performance and quality standards
and they will deliver the same exceptional value."
Burns said the Warn Works family encompasses a variety
of products, including a line of DC winches, a line of AC winches and
an initial AC hoist. All family members in these product lines will exhibit
the Warn Works brand look and styling: a distinctive orange and gray
color scheme, rounded edges, and rubberized touch zones that direct users
for correct operation. "These initial products, and others to follow,
will feature best-of-breed engineering and quality throughout," Burns
said. "That applies to motors, clutches and brakes, right down to the
switches, the fit and finish as well."
Initial models in the DC winch line are Warn Works 1700,
3700 and 4700. Able to mount just about anywhere-including on pickup truck
beds, utility trailers, skid steers and tractors-they can handle loads
of 1,700, 3,700 and 4,700 lbs. respectively. Applications range from loading
and unloading heavy equipment, to recovering stuck machinery, to placing
large trees and landscape rocks. All three models feature permanent magnet
motors, all-metal gear trains, and durable alloy housings.
The AC winch line launches with three models: the Warn
Works 1500AC, 3200AC and the 3000ACI. These units are designed for use
inside our outside of shops, barns, and outbuildings-wherever AC power
is available. They can handle loads up to 1,500, 3,200 and 3,000 lbs.,
respectively. Useful in lawn and garden, agriculture, construction, industrial,
even recreational applications, Warn Works AC winches can pull out shrubs
and trees, raise and lower grain augers, move plant machinery, haul out
boat dollies and more.
First in the AC hoist line is the Warn Works H1000AC.
A compact unit with a 1,000 lb. lifting capability, it packs the heft
of more expensive, industrial-grade hoists. Suited to many jobs around
the job site, shop, barn or home, it can be used to lift landscaping and
other equipment, or to load or unload a variety of materials. The H1000AC
comes with an easy-to-use, pro-style control, and incorporates industry-leading
safety features, including load limiter, travel limit switch and emergency
stop capability.
To ensure that WARN Works products can be used in Europe and Asia-Pacific,
models are available that operate on 230 volt 50Hz current.
